Dear Little Chub Ceyone,
You were turning 3 that month! You had developed a fair bit of understanding of the world around you, got accustomed with the concept of school and going there everyday and expressing yourself more and more with each passing day. One thing you were still working on was your smile when you were asked to pose for a camera.
That year your grandparents (Papa's parents) visited us in Singapore and we celebrated your birthday with them. It was a great time of family celebration together and everyone was delighted to pamper you a little extra. We started off the holidays by decorating a real Christmas tree with some ornaments. I believed in celebrating all festivals and extracting their spirit and fun parts, along with the food!
You participated very enthusiastically in the decorations.
You liked lying with Grandpa and watching TV with him. You were otherwise not allowed to watch TV and I planned to create a TV free household for us.
Mumma's baby Ceyone X :)
We got you your favorite Dusty cake from Disney Planes series. You were happy to see your cake that we cut at home and then later sent to school with you.
You enjoying the cake that I was giving you for tasting.
You asked for some more and were very excited.
At your pre school with the cake, celebrating again with your friends.
I sent a couple of return gifts with you for your parents that you gave to each of your classmates.
When you came back from school, I had your birthday present ready and waiting. You quickly worked through the wrapping paper to discover your remote control fire truck that sprayed actual water!
You were so excited to try all the buttons and discover all the functionalities. And spent a great deal of time with it. Grandma has super happy as well to see you explore.
In the evening we went to the nearby temple and then for family dinner.
Mumma and Connie moments.
On Christmas day you received another present. I made sure you received separate presents for your birthday and Christmas day. It was a water pen writing slate. You had good fun spending time with that as well.
We baked a cake in the holidays laden with chocolate chips. I learned that if you cover choco chips in some dry flour they don't sink into the cake and so we tried that tip.
You and I at the Aspen Heights swimming pool. The shot was clicked from our balcony.
That was the balcony of our first apartment when we moved to Aspen Heights and it was pool facing.
Slept like a baby!
They organized a small celebration in your school as well. Perhaps it was a little scary for you.
You wanted to keep safe distance from Santa Claus.
For New Years Eve we went for dinner at Shahi Maharani restaurant. It was nicely decorated with golden balloons and was quite packed. Thankfully, Papa had booked a table in advance.
I always enjoyed spending time with you and seeing you learn. The holidays meant more you and me moments together and we made the most of it.
Stay my little chubby pie forever Ceyone!
Love,
Mumma
