September 2021

 Dear Cutie Ceyone,

September was another fun month for us. It was the month of Ganesh Chaturthi. We visited Deepti's place right after your first after school soccer with Euro Soccer School, took the prasad and returned home straightaway. As you joined this soccer training, Fridays became 12 hours days for you as you left home at 6:45 AM and by the time we return home, it was 7 PM. I was worried for your tiredness but you seemed to be coping alright. We'd planned to likely not sign up in the next semester for this.

That's your soccer practice at the Real Madrid school.

Meanwhile, me having fun on in the pool with friends on Sundays.

That's a quick glimpse of the masala salmon that Tita started to bake with chilli oil. It was finger licking delicious and we were a huge fan!
I also pushed myself to try and walk 5KM and started tracking activity on Strava. I think here's my first 5 KM walk. I was happy for trying and afterwards did it several times.

It was Adnan's birthday month and we did our friends video call as usual. It was always the best moments for me to be with friends.
Meanwhile, in Singapore, Shweta sent me kachoris as she knew they were my favorite!

I had to attend a wedding so I tried a couple of dresses to see which one worked best. I chose the right side one.

Sunday handwriting classes continued thought attendance was thin due to Covid-19.

Samar took to tie-dye quite seriously and made a t-shirt for himself and you that you both wore to school on free dress day. It was a lot of fun!

You both continued to have fun and food together. When Tita made pizza, we invited Samar and you guys had a great time enjoying home made pizza and watching some fun movie on Netflix.

One of the weekends we went to this Indian restaurant called Adda for lunch that had the Butter Chicken pie potpourri. It was actually quite nice with sort of naan on the top and butter chicken underneath.

You liked their chicken sliders a lot.

After that I took you and Samar to Gardens By The Bay to see Dale Chihuly's exhibition of exquisite glasswork. You learned about it in school and asked to go and see. So I planned the visit. It was sunny and hot and I found it a bit uncomfortable to navigate the place. In the end we had fun.

That's the inner dome of Gardens by the Bay.

Finally, I gave my phone to you and you clicked loads of pictures ranging from yellow frogs to each and every item of the glass exhibit. The art work was actually very nice and astonishing. We also saw a video of how it's made and it was highly impressive.

That's us in the inner gallery.

You captured almost every piece in the gallery.

More of handwriting classes continued until Gov. rules changed and I had to pause them.

Little kids had fun playing with your toy collection. You had completely given up buying toys by that time and your primary interest was soccer and only soccer. You did make in app purchases for your soccer games. One day you remarked that it's so strange how people visit ToysRUs stores even and I was so surprised. When you were a baby you took us to the store every weekend and bought a toy.

One of the weekend evenings, Samar came for sleepover. You both had dinner together, he bought his own dinner. Then brushed teeth and went to bed. I put you both to bed early as you were used to sleeping on time. After a few kicks from Samar in the sleep you asked to sleep on the floor on the mattress and I slept next to Samar. It was a win win for all of us and I was happy I could sleep in my bed.

Then you guys enjoyed breakfast in the morning, rejecting the break pakoras and asking for omelettes instead.

After a while Samar's younger brother Shiv came over and you guys had some cool fun playing house.

After doing some art work, it was already lunch time.

A few of our meals - chicken sausage hotdog one of the days.
That's chilli pan mee noodles that I ordered as I was really craving to eat something spicy.

On the weekend I picked up fresh wholemeal pita from the organic store and we made falafel patties and stuffed it in with halloumi. It turned out to be quite nice.

One of your class homework was giving a presentation on a topic every month. The first one was pets and that was your script that you wrote. It was quite fun and I liked making you practice at home.

Meanwhile, I went to see Nags after quite a long time and enjoyed meeting her for lunch at PS Cafe, GWC.

One of the Friday evenings when I came to pick you up at school we clicked these pictures.

Deepit and me doing some craziness after swimming.
You having flexibility drill with swim coach Derek.

More of my handwriting classes.

Samar and you spend free evenings together, doing homework and brainstorming. Your daily homework was one sheet of math problems and minimum 20 minutes of reading.

I was having some fun doing some recordings for my dance video.

As home schooling was announced for two weeks, it was high time to get a proper chair for you. So we made an appointment to the SecretLabs showroom and got one cool chair for you. I was pleased to make that investment as it would last for a long time and chair was an integral part of living.

I hope that sitting on your desk and chair you create wonderful ideas Ceyone. May your imagination run wild and may your dreams know no limits.

Stay free spirited always.

Lots of love,
Mumma
