Dearest Darling Ceyone,
We started 2022 with some excitement. I wanted to keep January 1st special always and do the things that I'd love to do the entire year. We were also big on goals. Just a few put pursuing them well.
You and I enjoyed some warm tea in the Singapore weather. You also went for cycling in the basement with Zee and Ahyo as it used to rain often. It was a good use of time.
Your soccer classes continued well, two times every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. In holidays we also did camps for 3 days at a stretch. You thoroughly enjoyed the game and I loved to see your interest in sports. To me, consistency was the most important.
There you were having fun with the ball. You loved dribbling very much. I also loved the turquoise blue color of your jersey and Papa got your name printed at the back of it.
January started with a bit of tough news. The travel restrictions had just begun to ease up after Covid-19 mayhem and I planned to visit India. By mistake I booked the non VTA ticket. I realized that at the last minute and could not travel as planned. I did get to visit around January 10th. That meant I missed the start of your new school semester. Thankfully, Samar was around and you bot went together.
It was also the time for kids vaccines being available. We booked the appointments for Samar and you together and you got your first Covid-19 vaccine jabs together. It was a fun event until the pain kicked in.

You enjoying snacks with Samar and Shiv at their home. Samar was also going to move to Canada in March and you and I were in tears at the news. It was very tough for us to accept that hard fact. We loved Samar so much and I hated to see you lose your friend. I was grateful that with technology we could still keep in touch and keep the friendship alive despite the distances.
Finally, my epic India trip started. It was such a crazy moment to get to travel after 2 full years! Seemed almost impossible and too good to be true!
