Dearest Ceyone,
Just like that it was December already. In between play dates, activities, our adjustment with my working the year had drawn to a close. It was twice as exciting as it was also the time of your 2nd birthday and party time overall.
The month started with holiday party at Twitter Singapore, my office. When I got ready to go you were very fascinated by my hand purse with shiny glitters and observed it for long.
You outgrew your strollers pretty quickly. So after Quinny buzz and Maclaren Techno XL, Papa and I decided to get you a Citimini Jogger as it had the maximum weight capacity. It was one of the best designed strollers I felt. Very comfortable, spacious, light weight and easy to fold with one hand. After our initial struggle with difficult strollers we were happy with this intelligent breeze. You liked it too, so it all made sense.
One of the weeks your weekly play date with Vivaan was a picnic downstairs by the letter boxes. You both liked the cozy corner and munched on fruits while Tita and Agesha chatted. I came down to click a few photos and then went back again.
This was the small door in our condo. It used to open with a buzzer button from the inside that made a loud buzzing sound. You liked to press it at least 25 times. This one moment, you pressed and ran away as the security guard was watching you. I was able to capture the moment with all your cute expressions.
We also attended your li'l friend Samar's birthday party. Samar was very happy to see you and you both played together for sometime. When Samar was cutting his cake, you were very eager to blow the candles but I held you back. In the meantime, another kid blew them off. Everyone laughed.
Holiday season naturally implied gift season as well. As your interest deviated largely towards cars, we began filling our home with toy cars. The car container truck was a holiday edition jackpot at ToysRUs and Papa and I grabbed it the moment we saw it. You thoroughly enjoyed its contents for several days.
I organized a mini Christmas party for you and your friends at home and Tita became Santa. There was free flow of candies and you all were overjoyed. I had set up a tiny Christmas tree at the corner of our living room. Your friends Samar and Vivaan came with their families, all dressed in red and green. Vivaan made a special appearance dressed in Santa costume himself and everyone cheered as he entered from the private elevator.
We celebrated your 2nd birthday on 22nd December 2014 with lots and lots of enthusiasm. You wished for a chip and dale cake and Mumma took the command. All the grandparents and relatives called and messaged. Nani did a special celebration in Bhopal, India with her friends. It was winters in India. You were very very excited and coy for blowing the candles. Check out the video below.
It was a very very happy time for all of us. Papa and I decided to make each one of your birthdays very memorable and wonderful for you as long as we could.
