January 2017! Welcome New Year

Dear Ceyone,

2017 started gently with lots of activity in Dec last week that included celebrating your 4th birthday and tonnes of changes in my life too. We went to Universal Studios Singapore to welcome the New Year with Papa's noise canceling headphones for you. But you seemed pretty good at tolerating the high decibel levels and participated well.

Here are some photos from January 2017.

My mission for this year was to eat healthy and I started at a determined note.

Our Thursday play dates at Vivaan's place continued.

We went to W Sentosa with Sohail Chachu and Nimrata Chachi for New Years' Dinner one of the weekends. It was fun to see all the yachts and backwaters. It was my first time there but you had seen that place in the past.

Wednesdays were playdates at our house with your building friends Samar and Yashveer. You all first played in the playground, then played at home and finished up with dinner together. I think Tita made fish fillet burgers for you all that was your ever favorite. You  often stole the fish fillet from inside the burger and ate it all up. Whenever we went to McDonalds, you followed suit too.

In January, I was also planning for my upcoming trip to US for work and to Zurich to visit Binish mausi, my best friend. I was working on getting a Schengen visa for myself and it was interesting to plan a full trip from scratch to end on my own.

We went to China Town to see decorations for year of the Rooster and then at Mac to collect free lipstick from 6 empty bottles that I had collected. You wanted to buy me blue and white lipsticks and I had to gently convince you against it.

We also went to Kiddy Palace toy shop in Toa Payoh to buy you a school bag from one of your birthday present vouchers.

I missed baking and decided to revive it during December holidays. So off we went to bake and shake with a few burnt cakes and then better ones. You loved eating the cake dough just like me!

Papa's travel continued and sometimes he left us tickets for kids shows. That weekend we went to see "We're going on a Bear Hunt" at Victoria Theater Singapore. It was a nice show and you enjoyed it.

Our next show was "Shark in the Park" at KC Arts Theater that was just around the corner from our place. It was my date with you as Tita was on holiday being Sunday. We first watched the show and I was worried about the cold inside the theater. You quite liked the character of Timothy Pope who had lost his telescope from the show. Then we went to eat some snacks by the river at Robertson Walk and finally returned home.

That evening when I returned from office, Samar, Yashveer and you were playing 3 men in a boat at our house. It was such a fun and amusing sight that I immediately pulled out my phone and snapped a picture.

We also attended Yashveer's superhero themed 4th birthday party.

Below is a picture from your school that was clicked during annual photo session.  You seemed to have lost some weight in that picture but still very cute.

One of the weekends we decided to go to Botanic Gardens after it rained and it was the first time you saw a rainbow in Singapore. Both you and I were SO excited!

Ceyone I want you to know that I brought you into this world and I'll be behind you like a solid rock, always.

Love you lots
Your crazy Mumma!
