Dearest Ceyone,
June turned out to be a testing month for our family. We faced some very tough time with Tita having thyroid malfunction and falling severely ill. She asked to go to Manila and so Naani came from India to be with us. After returning from Manila, Tita was so unwell that she had to be admitted in the hospital. Towards the end of your trip, you were so unwell that you had to be admitted in the hospital too. You got adeno virus. That was a very tough time for me, shuttling between hospitals, juggling office work and meetings, caring for you at night in the hospital and feeling emotionally drained. I was so glad when you returned home and then finally after a long span of illness, Tita was back in shape too.
Just before your school holidays started there was Sports Day in your school. Naani and I came to see and had fun watching you enjoy sports activities.
Ceyone at Raffles Hospital with a constant IV attached to your hand. Mostly Naani was with you when Papa and me were at work or with Tita. One evening as I was getting Tita's medicines, you called me and said Mumma come in a very low voice. I dropped everything and hopped into a taxi and ran to you. That day I had tears in my eyes and felt so helpless. You were a very brave boy and battled very high fever with your strength and positivity.

You tried your best in the race and later asked me to help you run even faster.
Mumma loved you so much to be such a good sport and participate in all activities with enthusiasm.
I had a few campaign and public speaking opportunities and participated in those.
Our writing classes continued as usual. Friday nights used to be buzzing in our household with several children doing their thing after completing their handwriting work. You also started playing indoor cricket with soft ball and bat and enjoyed it a lot.
A new playground called Jubilee Park came up near our home at the foothills of Fort Canning. We went there together with friends and had fun.
Naani made cake pudding for the kids one day.
We also kept up with regular library visits.
Since we didn't have a TV at home on purpose (people sometimes asked me so where does your sofa face? :) we all had our individual ipads. That kept our screen time low and watching was must at snack and meal times.
When we went to pick up Tita we visited the newly opened Jewel mall at Changi airport. It had a ginormous 4 storey tall Rain Vortex waterfall.
I brought Naani out to enjoy some biryani and coconut water near marina area.
That was my fav pic of you taking a heroine bubble bath at Kuala Lumpur. Love your cute and naughty smile.
Tita with her friends at Singapore General Hospital.

Then I went to see Naani off at the airport as she was close to completing her 4 weeks stay with us.
One of our favorite past times was finding recipes in magazines and requesting Tita to cook them for us. She often cooked close parallels and they tasted quite nice. She had a knack of cooking and had a strong flair for cooking almost anything.

At my office we celebrated quarter end with a high tea party at The Fullerton Hotel.
More writing class moments at our home.
Meanwhile Zeeshan brought his school project volcano at our home and you all put vinegar in it to see it burst. You had the most fun of all.
Your interest in Science, particularly chemistry was quite high. You enjoyed understanding concepts, processes and often asked questions. You liked learning about new metals, gases etc.
Stay curious forever Ceyone!
With love,
With love,
Mumma
