September 2019

Sweetest Heart Ceyone,

We had a strong weekly routine in our household. I always liked to bring things into auto mode and loved embracing change as well. My handwriting classes were the norm for our weekends and all other activities got fitted around them. I realized that when the mind was uncluttered, I could switch easily from one task to the next and from one activity to the other with almost minimal transition time. That allowed me to fill our days with a plethora and variety of activities, just like meetings in my office.

I organized a photo shoot in my office and we all enjoyed some headshots.

We went to attend your school friend Viggo's birthday party. You also were selected as one of the presenters from grade 1 in the elementary school assembly. You had to say a few lines on environmental friendliness and you spoke very well along with a bunch of senior students.

Handwriting classes in full strength.

It was important to channelize the energy of all you little boys. So I tasked you with the assembly of this bathroom shelf that I bought at Ikea. Arjun, Yashveer and you enjoyed building it and did it quite fast.

Pumpkin soup with toppings, pita and avocado sandwiches with home made hummus were just some of the delicious meals that Tita prepared for us. You and I were already a fan of her food and I couldn't be more grateful for her.

At work we had a few visitors from the US office and we went for the traditional Singaporean chili crab dinner at Jumbo Seafood at Riverwalk. I was not courageous enough to break the crab myself and just enjoyed the tiny bits of it and the gravy with fried mantou.

More writing lessons at home, followed by cricket practice in our tiny and cozy living room. Our living room was actually your playground and you managed to play cricket, soccer, basketball, catch practice, bey blade matches and more there.

I had to undergo a root canal procedure and it wasn't much fun. I was proud of myself for braving it alone. Took even greater care of my teeth.

We also went for pottery making class with my colleagues at work. That was my first rendezvous with pottery making and it was so so relaxing and therapeutic after a while. We tried to make quite a few bowls, cups and in the end got to take one item to take home. I wanted to go there next time with you and you also expressed a deep desire to try it.

Life is simple, Ceyone. Let's not complicate it ever.

Love you infinite Ceyone.

Yours,
Mumma
