Blowing Raspberries: December 2017

Sweetest Heart Ceyone,

December was our favorite month because it was your birthday month! For me it was the biggest celebration of the year and I bought new clothes and gave myself permission to eat lots of cake coz it was your birthday! That's all that matters to me.

We went to watch The Sound of Music Musical at Marina Bay Sands Theater. I went to watch it with Tita before and it was so good that I bought another pair of tickets to bring you. It was quite long, you enjoyed most of it and got a little uneasy towards the end. The war scene captured your attention and we finished watching the entire ~3 hours show.

We also went for lunch to one of my coworkers place and it was good fun.

You and I prepared chocolate bark for Halloween with tiny marshmallows, gummy worms, kit kats, M&M's and more. I also made a witch feet wreath to hang outside our door. It was so fun to do that.
I also painted the 'Be Still, My Soul' sign for our living room as I liked it so much.

That was another one I painted as a reminder of personal courage and beating all limits.

Meanwhile I worked to facelift our bedroom. Samar, Bella and you had a very good time chit chatting and rolling on the bed.

December was also the time of wrapping the year with co workers, expressing gratitude. We got same jackets and shoes as work presents and went to Haidi Lao hot pot place for team lunch.

Most days you were ok to go to school and some days were tougher than others. Rolling on the floor happened a handful of times and Tita managed it well.

We also had Santa visit at Aspen Heights and it was a nice fun event every year. Someone dressed up as Santa and parents dropped presents in advance to be given out by Santa later in the morning.

One time, Yashveer and you were playing together. Then you both became very silent so I came out to check on you boys. I realized that you both started washing the kitchen after having spilled loads of water. So much fun you both had that day!
That's your first bath robe that you got as a present from Guddi Mausi Naani.

It was your year end class party as well and you all did some mindfulness before art and craft work.

I always came to pick you up from school on the last day of school before the holidays.

We began prep for your 5th birthday party that was on the theme of decorate your cupcakes :)
Those are all the party favors that we packed to give away to the kids.

I also made a punch box pinata that kids loved. They had to punch into one hole and all the contents were theirs. We made holes in cardboard and stuck paper cups filled with goodies. It was all covered in thin paper afterwards.

On the morning of your birthday you woke up to surprises and balloons!

Papa got you a new robot.

And Mumma got you a bell. A bell for your brand new big boy bicycle. My little cutie had grown from 5 weeks old to be 5 years old!

This surprise was adapted after a book that you loved reading called 'Ben's Brilliant Birthday' where Ben receives presents from everyone and at the end he receives a bell from his mummy. He feels a bit confused to see the bell and then uncovers his brand new bicycle. I pulled the same surprise for you and you loved it. Later you came and gave me a big hug on your own for getting you a bike X!
